Terdapat beberapa protokol yang digunakan untuk meng"copy" IOS ke dalam Router Cisco. Yang paling banyak digunakan adalah TFTP., sementara lainnya adalah ftp, http, scp, dan rcp. Jika perlu, anda bisa meng"copy" IOS dari satu router ke router lain.
